Bang for Your Buck
When you’re scouting for a worktop material that will best suit your kitchen, one of the main considerations, naturally, is your budget. Whether you’re looking at Corian worktop prices or the price of any other worktop, the concern is always getting the best value for your money.
Whether big or small, what’s important is that you get the most out of the material you choose. A good way to ensure this is by finding a reliable retailer of quality worktop materials. Imagine spending what you think is a good deal on cheap granite, only to have it crumble and subject to regular maintenance because you didn’t know any better. You’ll end up spending more than you bargained for!
This doesn’t mean that you have to spend an arm and a leg on reliable worktop material, though. Corian by DuPont is fast becoming the worktop of choice among discerning kitchen owners because of its versatility, durability and overall cost-effectiveness.
High or Low Maintenance?
Another consideration is how willing you are to maintain your worktop. If you are the type of kitchen owner who wants a low-maintenance worktop that can easily be cleaned with a washcloth and warm water, then Corian is for you. If you’re willing to go the extra mile and spend extra on resealing for your stone worktop, then you’re better off choosing a natural material.
Corian worktop prices are in a considerably lower range than high-quality natural stone worktops such as granite or quartz, but around the same price range for cheaper granite and quartz. Corian is an acrylic polymer that has the toughness of natural stone without the same level of porosity, meaning it is almost impenetrable to any kind of stain, is very easy to clean and requires no regular maintenance such as sealing.
How About Versatility?
Another reason why Corian is a favorite among renovators is that it comes in a wide array of stunning colors and finishes that is well worth the money for Corian worktop prices. Other worktop materials have only a limited variety of colors and finishes, and this can limit your creativity when redesigning your kitchen.
After doing your research on the range of worktop materials out there, we firmly believe that Corian is the best choice for the cost-efficient buyer. You can have the endurance of stone combined with the versatility and easy maintenance of man-made material at a price you like. What could be better than that?
if Warranty over run for only 5 months 10 yrs. If some thing minor goes wrong would corian would honour the warantly?
Hi,
Thanks for your very interesting question.
DuPont guarantees Corian against product defects for 10 years and are generally very generous with the terms of their warranty as they have an excellent reputation for a high quality product and customer service and they want to keep it that way. (For full details visit the corian warranty page on the main Direck Kitchen Worktops site)
However, once the 10 year warranty has expired it is up to DuPont to decide what assistance they might offer and your best course of action if this happens is to contact them. Unfortuately we can say what their reaction will be as it depends entirely on how they view your individual case.
However, please bear in mind that one of the great things about Corian is that it can be easily repaired. The colour and texture of the material goes all the way through so scuffs and marks can be sanded away and brought to a full showroom finish once more.
We hope that helps
