Luxore Installation Process

Luxore Quartz WorktopsDirect Kitchen Worktops (DKW) will visit your home and template / measure your new kitchen units to determine the exact specification of the worktops to be manufactured.  After bespoke manufacture, DKW will professionally install the worktops in your kitchen.  DKW do not undertake any plumbing or electrical work and are not responsible for removing your old worktop.

The following should be in place prior to DKW template / measure visit.

  1. All base units and end panels should be securely fixed in their final position and the back walls need to be battened out.
  2. Existing or temporary work surfaces and appliances (ie. Sinks and hobs) should be removed.
  3. Any plastering of walls should be completed but tiling left until after the fitting of the worktops.
  4. All new appliances (ie sinks and hobs) should be on site
  5. Any freestanding appliances (ie Ranges and Aga’s) should be fully installed in their final position.
  6. The customer should be on site at template stage in order to confirm the final specification.
  7. Any changes to the final specification from the original plan will mean an adjustment to the price (up or down).
  8. If a second template / measure visit is needed due to any of the above not being followed, an abortive charge will be made.

Please Note:-

  1. The length of any one piece of Luxore will be a maximum of 3 metres and can be shorter dependant on the number and size of any cut-outs.  Joint positions will be determined at this stage.
  2. Upstands come in lengths of 1.5 metres.

The following should
be in place prior to DKW installation visit.

  1. Installation of your new worktops will happen approximately two weeks after the template / measure visit.
  2. Existing or temporary work surfaces and appliances (ie. Sinks and hobs) should be removed.
  3. The customer should be on site to inspect the final installation and pay any balance due.
  4. The installation of your worktops may involve the chasing out of walls which will have to be made good by others.  Our fitters will sweep up and take any rubbish with them but there will be airborne dust that will settle over the next day or so and will need cleaning away.
  5. Different colours of Luxore show dirt and marks more readily than others. A good cleaning regime however will keep your worktops looking good for years.  Please see the Care and Maintenance page on our web site
